The gritty basic-ness of it was to me attractive as it meant the focus was then put on the crowd and the players.<br /><br />Then in 2004 for the taça guanabara which blew me away. Straight off the plane to the match; massive crowd, passion, beer, fags and so many beautiful and football savvy feminia superliga!<br /><br />Romario and Edmundo as strike partners (albeit pedestrian ones) 3-2 Fla and the start of my jinx on Flu (whom I am now banned from seeing by my mate). <br /><br />When I was over last April it was weird seeing the work being done in parallel to what I had left behind me in London pre-2012 Olympics. <br /><br />Hope the outcomes are similar but have my reservations sadly.
